Projekthintergrund

Mit der weltweiten Krisensituation – ausgelöst durch die Corona-Pandemie – ist die internationale Veranstaltungswirtschaft vollständig zum Erliegen gekommen. Die Frage, wann und wie es überhaupt wieder möglich sein wird, Versammlungen und Veranstaltungen mit einer größeren Anzahl von Menschen durchzuführen, lässt sich auf absehbare Zeit nicht klar und eindeutig beantworten.
Ganz konkret will das Projekt zur aktiven Bekämpfung der akuten Gefährdung von Arbeitslosigkeit in der Veranstaltungswirtschaft beitragen. Oft handelt es sich hierbei um besonders junge, beruflich unerfahrene Menschen, ebenso Quereinsteiger und zugewanderte Fach- und Arbeitskräfte, die durch einen Mangel an Qualifikation, Kompetenzen und Fertigkeiten, besonders betroffen sind.

Projektziele

Für ein so multikulturell und international geprägtes Arbeitsumfeld, wie es in der Veranstaltungswirtschaft vorherrscht, ist es inhärent, Herausforderungen und Problemlösungen im Bereich der Qualifizierung sowie Aus- und Weiterbildung transnational zu denken und anzugehen. Die am Projekt beteiligten Organisationen eint der europäische Geist und die „gute Praxis“ aus zahlreichen, gemeinsamen europäischen Kooperationen und Projekten.
So besteht ein Ziel des Projekts darin, die Ergebnisse aus den erfolgreichen, branchenspezifischen Erasmus+-Projekten (u. a. der ECVAET-Serie, TeBeVAT-Serie, ETTE, LAAR, OiRA, TALQ, EI-Integr) vor dem Hintergrund der neuen Herausforderungen zu durchleuchten und zu diskutieren.
Das Konsortium diskutiert und erarbeitet Antworten zu folgenden Detailfragen:

Wie kann die Antifragilität der Veranstaltungswirtschaft und der Akteure, insbesondere der Solo-Selbstständigen, gestärkt werden?
Was bedeutet dies konkret für die Konzeption und Anpassung von Ausbildung und Qualifizierung der Akteure in der Veranstaltungswirtschaft und von Beschäftigten, im speziellen der Solo-Selbstständigen?
Welche zentralen bildungspolitischen und gesamt europäisch gedachten Modernisierungsprozesse innerhalb der Veranstaltungswirtschaft müssen nun gebündelt, weiterentwickelt und dadurch konkret gestärkt werden?

Projektablauf

Grundpfeiler der gemeinsamen Zusammenarbeit bilden drei Transnationale Partnertreffen in Wien (AT), Frankfurt (DE) und Brüssel (BE). Hierzu werden auch externe nationale Experten in den Diskussions- und Arbeitsprozess mit eingebunden. Die Ergebnisse und Erkenntnisse aus den Diskussionsrunden werden in entsprechenden Protokollen und Arbeitspapieren festgehalten und am Projektende in einem Bericht zusammengefasst. Die Zusammenarbeit während der transnationalen Treffen wird durch ein „Mutual Learning-Seminar“ digital unterstützt, welches auch zur Vor- und Nachbereitung genutzt wird. Zwischen den Partnertreffen werden eine Serie von Online-Konferenzen abgehalten und die Partner bereiten inhaltlich definierte Schwerpunkte zu diesen vor. Die einjährige strategische Partnerschaft, in denen Organisationen aus Belgien, Deutschland, Liechtenstein, der Niederlande und Österreich kollaborieren, beginnt zum Oktober 2020 und endet im Oktober 2021.

Project background

With the worldwide crisis situation – triggered by the Corona pandemic – the international event industry has come to a complete standstill. The question of when and how it will be possible to hold meetings and events with larger numbers of people again at all cannot be answered clearly and unambiguously in the foreseeable future.
In very concrete terms, the project wants to contribute to actively combating the acute threat of unemployment in the event industry. Often these are particularly young, professionally inexperienced people, as well as career changers and immigrant professionals and workers, who are particularly affected by a lack of qualifications, competencies and skills.

Project objectives

For such a multicultural and international working environment as prevails in the event industry, it is inherent to think and approach challenges and problem solutions in the field of qualification as well as education and training transnationally. The organizations involved in the project are united by the European spirit and the “good practice” from numerous, joint European cooperations and projects.
Thus, one aim of the project is to review and discuss the results from the successful, sector-specific Erasmus + projects (including the ECVAET series, TeBeVAT series, ETTE, LAAR, OiRA, TALQ, EI-Integr) against the background of the new challenges.
The consortium discusses and develops answers to the following detailed questions:

How can the antifragility of the event industry and stakeholders, especially solo independents, be strengthened?
What does this mean in concrete terms for the conception and adaptation of training and qualification of actors in the event industry and of employees, in particular the solo self-employed?
Which central processes of modernization within the event industry, both in terms of education policy and in terms of the whole of Europe, must now be bundled, further developed and thus concretely strengthened?

Project schedule

The cornerstones of the joint cooperation are three transnational partner meetings in Vienna (AT), Frankfurt (DE) and Brussels (BE). For this purpose, external national experts will also be involved in the discussion and working process. The results and findings from the discussion rounds will be recorded in corresponding minutes and working papers and summarized in a report at the end of the project. The cooperation during the transnational meetings will be digitally supported by a “Mutual Learning Seminar”, which will also be used for preparation and follow-up. Between the partner meetings, a series of online conferences are held and the partners prepare content-defined focal points for these. The one-year strategic partnership, in which organizations from Belgium, Germany, Liechtenstein, the Netherlands and Austria collaborate.
